It’s important to remember that you are never guaranteed to see an eclipse. It can be cloudy anywhere. So be sure that you are OK with that – make sure that you would still enjoy the vacation even if you did not see the eclipse! Use tools like the Time and Date website, which can give you the average cloud cover for any location at any time.
Finally, an eclipse is for everyone to enjoy. We’ve noticed that some people are trying to gatekeep eclipse travel, saying that you can only experience an eclipse on a cruise organized by an astronomy magazine or other such company. But eclipse cruises are not new. One of our esteemed clients recently shared his story of seeing the 1973 eclipse off the west coast of Africa.
